Happy Father's Day!
With such excellent fathers of our own, Matt and I have been celebrating the anticipation of being parents today. We went to an emotional service this morning and heard stories of conquering pain to experiencing the sheer joy of being a father. Not that I need much of a reason to cry these days, but that one got both me and Matt. We followed that with our first trip to a baby superstore to look for baby stuff... it's been an emotional and overwhelming day so far!
My 30th birthday celebration seems to have extended to a week-long now and we find ourselves drawn to the lyrics of Tim McGraw's song: My Next Thirty Years
My next thirty years will be the best years of my life
Raise a little family and hang out with my wife
Spend precious moments with the ones I hold dear
Make up for lost time here, In my next thirty years.
