Wow - what an experience we just had in India. As with all of our travels to developing nations, I feel so lucky and proud to be an American! Of course, this trip has been especially emotional for me (hormones), but bringing new life into this world in the wonderful conditions that we provide makes me feel on top of the world. We have met some of the most wonderful people who live in a world of contrasts... India is fascinating. We have seen one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Taj Mahal, and seen and smelled more trash/sewage and the people that live among it to make me appreciate my life and country forever. I know I will always remember how much I have to be thankful for and hope that I can do my part to keep the world moving in a positive direction, however small my impact. Every parent wants the best for their child, but I know that we will provide the very best possible and I hope that my child will eventually appreciate that and understand the context from which I mean it now.

I post the link to our pictures again. We are constantly updating these pictures, since my shutterbug husband can't put down the camera! (In his defense, there is certainly a lot to photograph in such a fascinating nation.)
