As a Talent Acquisition professional, I'm struck by the impact to the business, which will, in turn, impact recruitment planning and I can't help but think that this may be a real catalyst for the future of work. As many folks who are able to "work from home," are doing so, putting strain on internet services even in the first days, I wonder how many of us will find ourselves actually going back into an office in the future.
If this pandemic requires longer periods of social distancing, then what will that mean for any essential task that could be done from home? Will we start to shut down office buildings of cubes for independent work, in favor of buildings filled with conference space, meant only for activity intended specifically for in-person connectivity?
It's Day 4; we planned a bit of a social, at appropriate distancing, with our neighbor friends. Mental health is important too.
