Mommy Snuggle and Daddy Snuggle
Cora's 6-Week Stats:Weight - 2lbs 8oz
Nasal Cannula - 2 litres of flow, 21% oxygen (room air)
Feeding - New nasal feeding tube, which is smaller than the one down her mouth - good for sucking a pacifier and for learning to take food orally (starting training maybe next week?) - getting 160ml or 5.4oz/day of Mommy's milk (plus additives), while Mommy is pumping 58oz/day
Medications - 2 packets of milk fortifiers and a protein additive, hydro cortisone (weening 10% every 3 days), caffeine to remind her to breathe, vitamin, iron supplement & a bit of Lasix here and there, to rid the fluid build-up in her lungs
The picture below will be burned in my brain forever - this is the 24 monitor of her statistics, under constant watch. If one of these gets out of range, then the beeping begins and they haunt my dreams. However, she's been beeping less and less and if the numbers below are the norm, we'll be heading home soon!
Leigh you are being a pro with all the medical lingo. I'm sure you are learning way more than you ever wanted to know. So glad to here the progress reports.
