As I suspected (due to her temp regulation and consistent weight gain), Cora got out of the "box" on Friday night! Our visits with her in a regular baby crib was so much better. The reason it's hard to describe, because we still need to be considerate of all of her leads and it's important not to transition her too quickly and to limit those transitions. But, it's pretty great to see her there sleeping, without plastic in between us and to be able to lean over and kiss her hello and good-bye.
Papa & Kiki came back down to allow Matt & me to visit Cora together, so we enjoyed some time with the three of us. We even had a few laughs around diaper changing (she's using wipes now, instead of water on gauze pads) and re-dressing her in clothes (yes, there are 2 legs to that onsie). It's amazing to have their support and that of the rest of our family and friends. I'm in awe how I'm still feeling the love and support through notes/emails/calls/texts/visits/meals/positive energy! It's all about time and when you're busy trying to keep up big sister, Stella, a job, and a milk supply... (thanks Jenny for the deep freezer!), there's new meaning to "it takes a village."
now that is a stash to be proud of!!!!!! NICE JOB!!!!!!!!!!
