Thanks to Stella's friend Niko for hosting her for a play date, so we were able to give Cora some undivided attention. I guess it was a combination of Cora's progress and Matt's comfort, but he did Kangaroo for the first time, today!
As great as it was to see him holding Cora, I think we both were more excited to see her without her CPAP on, yes, that's hair on her little head!! So, she's been responding really well to the nasal cannula, but CPAP is sticking around - they are being rotated every 4 hours. However, she's done really well on the nasal cannula, so we're hoping it won't be too long! She lost a small amount of weight at last night's weigh-in, but her weight was taken with nasal cannula, when her previous weights were taken with the heavier CPAP (same thing happened when her PICC line came out).
I was also extremely relieved to hear that her red blood cell count went up into the very normal range, so she is not in immediate risk for a blood transfusion. So, they've cut back on some of her other medicines too and she continues to take her increased feedings well!

All great things to hear!
