Cora has now become a member of the Kilo Club! This is a big milestone. She is still rocking the nasal cannula and has handled all the milk fortifyers and increased feedings, which has done its job to get her into the Kilo Club - woo hoo! Despite all the bowel movements she had today, she still managed to gain 28 grams (she is weighed at night) to put her weight at 1, 025 grams or 2lbs 4oz. That's right she was only 3 grams shy of a Kilo yesterday, so today, it is quite official!
As a member of the Kilo Club, weight should start to pack on at a faster rate. Her next milestones should be getting rid of the nasal cannula and then regulating her own temperature (which is mostly tied to weight). Around 1500 grams, she will probably start to be able to wear clothes and she will be closer to moving out of the isolette and into room air... CAN'T WAIT!!
